You can use 'and' and 'or' between your keywords; 'and' applies by default. Some sample search expressions are given below. Searches the House and Senate bill text and bill summaries.

Note:

1. And - finds instances of two or more words in a document. If you enter multiple words and no conjunction, it assumes you mean and.
2. The search evaluates an expression from left to right.
3. Parentheses - finds instances of the expression in parentheses first and then the rest of the expression in a document.
4. Not - finds instances of one or more words and not another word in a document (for example, literature and not shakespeare).
5. * - Wildcards (asterisks) finds instances matching any form of the word. Note that you can use a wildcard asterisk only at the end of a word.
