HB 1306 -- Motor Vehicle Registration Tabs

This bill requires the Department of Revenue to issue 2 license
registration tabs as evidence of the registration of a vehicle.
Effective January 1, 2001, registration tabs issued must be
affixed to the inside of a motor vehicle's front windshield
within 6 inches of the inspection sticker and to the lower left--
hand corner of the rear windshield.  If a vehicle does not have
a windshield, the vehicle owner, when applying for registration
or renewal of registration, must notify the department of such
fact and the department must issue a distinctive tab or tabs for
attachment to the license plates.
