INTRODUCED

HB 1339 -- Highway Commission

Sponsor:  Gratz

This bill changes the membership of the Highways and
Transportation Commission from 6 to 10 members.  Six will be
appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the
Senate with not more than 3 from the same party.  Two will be
appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives and 2
by the President of the Senate.  One each appointed by the
Speaker and President Pro-Tem must reside in any metropolitan
statistical area in the state with a population of 600,000
persons and one each must reside in any other area in the state.
