This bill allows the Director of the Division of Labor Standards
to consider the size of the business involved when determining
the amount of civil damages to request for violating child labor
restrictions.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that this bill will allow the
Director of the Division of Labor Standards to consider the size
of a business and the absence of specified factors when
determining an assessment for civil damages for child labor
violations.

Testifying for the bill were Representative Green; Missouri AFL--
CIO; and Missouri Chamber of Commerce.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
