HB 1592 -- Nonprobate Transfers

Co-Sponsors: Liese, Elliott, Auer

Current law automatically revokes a spouse's beneficiary status
(e.g., transfer on death clauses on property) upon the
dissolution of the marriage. This bill clarifies that this
provision applies only to beneficiary designations made after
August 28, 1989, the effective date of that provision.
