COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass" by the Committee on Local
Government and Related Matters by a vote of 20 to 0.

This bill allows Sunday sales of liquor by the drink without a
special permit on February 14.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that this bill will allow persons to
have a drink on one of the most popular holidays.  It will only
occur about once every 7 years.  There are other exceptions to
the Sunday restriction on liquor sales.

Testifying for the bill was Representative Gambaro.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
