HB 1766 -- Fire Protection Tax Co-Sponsors: Williams (159), Koller, Merideth This bill allows, upon voter approval, fire protection districts located in counties of the third classification to impose, in addition to other taxes, a sales tax in an amount of up to 1% on all taxable retail sales made within the fire protection district.
