HB 2015 -- Property Tax: Agricultural Land Values

Sponsor: Patek

Under current law, the General Assembly can reject any proposed
regulation of the State Tax Commission to change agricultural
land values for property tax purposes by passing a concurrent
resolution disapproving the values within the first 60 days of
the legislative session. Otherwise, a proposed regulation will
go into effect. Under the bill, a concurrent resolution passed
within the first 60 days of a session is required to approve or
disapprove a proposed regulation to change land values, and
failure of the General Assembly to take any action on the
proposed regulation will be regarded as a disapproval.
