AN ACT
To amend chapter 163, RSMo, relating to state aid for education by adding thereto one new section relating to funding for early childhood screenings.
Section A. Chapter 163, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 163.205, to read as follows:
163.205. The department of elementary and secondary education shall, when responsible for reimbursing funds
for early childhood screenings to school districts, reimburse such districts as such costs come due. In the event
that the department anticipates a shortfall in its ability to pay such reimbursements over the course of a fiscal
year, the department shall pay such costs as they come due and shall not, in lieu of paying costs as they come due,
pay such costs on a pro rata basis by paying districts at the end of the fiscal year.
