AN ACT

To amend chapter 67, RSMo, relating to political subdivisions by adding thereto one new section relating to the same subject.



Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

Section A. Chapter 67, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 67.1785, to read as follows:

67.1785. Each county in the state shall have the authority to create a children's services council to conduct an assessment of the needs of children in the county and provide grants for services to address those needs. Any children's services council established pursuant to this section shall constitute a body politic and corporate with taxing power and shall have the duties, privileges, immunities, rights, liabilities and disabilities of a public body politic and corporate.
