AN ACT
To amend chapter 226, RSMo, relating to the state transportation department by adding thereto one new section relating to the emergency bridge repair and replacement fund.
Section A. Chapter 226, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 226.235, to read as follows:
226.235. 1. There is hereby created in the state treasury the "Emergency Bridge Repair and Replacement Fund". The state treasurer shall deposit to the credit of the fund all moneys which may be appropriated to it by the general assembly and also any gifts, contributions, grants, bequests or other aid received from federal, private or other sources. The general assembly shall appropriate twenty-five million dollars into the fund annually.
2. The department of transportation shall provide a list to the governor, the speaker of the house of
representatives and the president pro tem of the senate of the twenty bridges in the state which need repair or
replacement most. Moneys in the fund shall be used for repair or replacement of such bridges.
