REP. CINDY OSTMANN
90th General Assembly
Rep. Cindy Ostmann, a Republican, represents part of St. Charles County (District 14) in the Missouri House of Representatives.
Rep. Ostmann serves on the Missouri Commission on Intergovernmental Cooperation and the Joint Committee on Transportation Oversight.
In addition to her legislative duties, Rep. Ostmann holds a Missouri Realtors License and is the owner/manager of residential properties.
Rep. Ostmann is a member of the following organizations: Focus St. Louis; St. Charles County Unit of American Cancer Society board of directors; Confluence St. Louis; St. Charles County Arts Council; Grand Order of Pachyderms; Missouri Federation of Republican Women; First Capitol Republican Club; Lindenwood Alumni Association; St. Peters Chamber of Commerce; Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 2866; St. Charles Chamber of Commerce; O'Fallon Chamber of Commerce; Nurses and Company board of directors, and Regional Technical Education Council.
She also is a former president and member of the Ft. Zumwalt Board of Education and was the Missouri School Boards' Federal Relations Representative for the 9th Congressional District from 1982-84. Rep. Ostmann received Phi Delta Kappa's Outstanding Contributor to Education Award in 1988. She also received the St. Peters Chamber of Commerce Athena Award in 1994, the Missouri Bar Association Legislators Award in 1998, the Friend of Agriculture Award in 1998, the Lindenwood College Alumni Merit Award for Professional Achievement in 1998, Crider Center Hero's Award in1999, and the Gold Star Award for public services from NECAC Senior Corps and the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program in 1999.
After graduating from Berkeley High School in 1956, Rep. Ostmann received a bachelor of science degree in education with minors in history and English from Lindenwood College in St. Charles. She also received advanced library certification for grades K-12 from Lindenwood College in 1973.
Born Dec. 9, 1938, in St. Louis County, Rep. Ostmann currently resides in St. Peters with her husband, Donald A. Ostmann. They have two children, LaDawn and Tracy.
