REP. BILL SKAGGS

90th General Assembly

 

Rep. Bill Skaggs, a Democrat, represents part of Clay County (District 31) in the Missouri House of Representatives.

Rep. Skaggs is a public relations representative for Norbank. Formerly he was an autoworker for General Motors in Kansas City for 25 years and served six years in the Air Force Reserves.

He is a member of the following organizations: First Baptist Church of North Kansas City; MOSERS (Missouri State Employees’ Retirement System) board and chairman of the Investment Board within that system; North Kansas City PTA; board of directors of the Clay County Economic Development Commission; Northland Health Care Access board; and the North Kansas City Business Council. Rep. Skaggs is active in Clay County Democratic campaign activities and was a delegate to the Democratic National Convention in 1980. He has also served as Clay County land trustee.

Rep. Skaggs graduated from Liberty High School in 1960 and attended Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg.

Born January 24, 1942, in Sylacaugo, Alabama, Rep. Skaggs resides in north Kansas City with his wife Sandy. They have two children, Kelly and Trent.
