REP. RODGER L. FITZWATER
90th General Assembly
Rep. Rodger Fitzwater, a Democrat, represents parts of Clay, Caldwell and Ray counties (District 36) in the Missouri House of Representatives.
Rep. Fitzwater is a full time legislator.
Rep. Fitzwater is a member of the Ray County Fair board, Missouri Pork Producers, American Association board of directors (a 6-year member, he was president for 2 years), the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, the Richmond Chamber of Commerce, the Excelsior Springs Chamber of Commerce and the Ray County Transportation board (chairman for four years).
Rep. Fitzwater graduated from Hardin Central High School in 1980. He attended Truman State University (formerly Northeast Missouri State University) from 1980 to 1983. He received a bachelor of science degree in education from Central Missouri State University in 1984.
Rep. Fitzwater taught drivers' education and physical education, coached the girls' basketball team, and was the athletic director at Sacred Heart Catholic School in Sedalia, MO from 1988-90. In the Richmond School District, Rep. Fitzwater was a part-time drivers' education instructor from 1984-88. He was a full-time substitute teacher at Richmond from 1991-94.
Born January 15, 1962, in Richmond, Missouri, Rep. Fitzwater currently resides in rural Ray County.
