REP. DANA L. MURRAY
90th General Assembly
Rep. Dana L Murray, Democrat, represents the city of Jennings, city of Moline Acres, Castle Point, Hathaway Manors North and South and some unincorporated areas of North St. Louis County (District 69) in the Missouri House of Representatives.
First elected to the House in a special election in 1993, Rep. Murray is chair of the Governmental Organization and Review Committee.
She is Majority Caucus secretary and president of the Women Legislators of Missouri. She has been appointed to the Missouri Women’s Council and served as president of the House Majority Freshman Caucus.
Rep. Murray attended the Wellston School District and is a 1964 graduate of Normandy High School. Before her election as a state representative, Rep. Murray was employed by the Special School District of St. Louis County as a school bus driver.
Rep. Murray is a member of the following: her local Democratic organization, Ferguson Democratic Club, Norwood Democratic Club and Halls Ferry Democratic Club. She also works on community projects such as Neighborhood Watch and the Ferguson Community Non-Conflict Resolution Program. She is a member of the National Organization of Women Legislators, North County Exposure, and Corpus Christi Catholic Church.
Born January 18, 1946, in Harrisburg, IL, Rep. Murray resides in Jennings with her husband Dennis. They have four sons: Timothy, Kevin, Dennis and Sean; two daughters-in-law, Brittain Shea (Tim) and Veronica (Kevin); and three granddaughters, Victoria (Tori), Madison and Amanda.
