REP. BILL ALTER

90th General Assembly

Rep. Bill Alter, a Republican, represents part of Jefferson and St. Louis counties (District 90) in the Missouri House of Representatives.

In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Alter owns a management business and is the vice president of a national company.

Rep. Alter is a member of the National Rifle Association and past president of the High Ridge Rotary. Rep. Alter was the co-founder and former treasurer of the Northwest Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce.

A graduate of the Parkway school district, Rep. Alter attended the U.S. Navy Electronics School from 1963 to 1965 and the Jefferson College Law Enforcement Training Center from 1982 to 1984. He currently serves as a reserve police officer and has done so for the past 16 years.

Born May 15, 1944, in Iowa City, Iowa, Rep. Alter currently resides in High Ridge with his wife Merijo. They have two children: Angela and Brett, and four grandchildren.
