REP. BILL GRATZ

90th General Assembly

Rep. Bill Gratz, a Democrat, represents part of Cole County (District 113) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He currently serves as the chairman of the House Travel Committee and the Correctional and State Institutions Committee.

In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Gratz is a real estate broker, auctioneer and farmer. He was honorably discharged from the Army Reserve as a staff sergeant.

Rep. Gratz is a member of the following organizations: St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Wardsville; Jefferson City Area Chamber of Commerce; Missouri and National Association of Realtors; Cole County Farm Bureau; Lions Club; American Legion; Fraternal Order of Eagles; Central Missouri Home Builders; Cole County Democratic Club; and Knights of Columbus.

As a member of the Missouri Chamber of Commerce, Rep. Gratz received the Spirit of Enterprise Award in 1995; the Associated Industries of Missouri, Voice of Missouri Business Award in 1997; the National Federation of Independent Business, Guardian of Business Award; and the Missouri farm Bureau, Friend of Agriculture Award.

Rep. Gratz is a graduate of Helias High School, Capital Business College, Weaver School of Real Estate and Reisch Auctioneering College.

Born August 31, 1949, in Tuscumbia, Rep. Gratz currently resides in Wardsville with his wife, Nancy Kay Schneiders. They have three children, Craig William, Kimberly Rene and Kristi Lynn, and two grandsons, Tyler William and Logan Craig.
