REP. JIM HOWERTON

90th General Assembly

Rep. Jim Howerton, a Republican, represents Henry County, 1/3 of Johnson County, and parts of Cass and St. Clair counties (District 120) in the Missouri House of Representatives.

In addition to his lawmaking duties, Rep. Howerton is a pork producer.

Rep. Howerton holds memberships in several organizations including the Missouri Pork Producers, the Henry County Historical Society, the Agricultural Leaders of Tomorrow and Alpha Gamma Sigma. He is also active in his local church.

Named the Outstanding Freshman Legislator for Agri-Business, he has also been honored as the Master Pork Producer in 1992 and the Pork All-American in 1995.

A 1972 graduate of Clinton High School, Rep. Howerton received a bachelor's degree in agriculture from the University of Missouri - Columbia in 1976.

Born December 9, 1954, in Warrensburg, Rep. Howerton resides near Chilhowee with his wife Debra. They have four children: Jennifer, Michael, Jonathan and Andrew.
