REP. MATT BLUNT

90th General Assembly

Rep. Matt Blunt, a Republican, represents part of Greene County (District 139) in the Missouri House of Representatives.

After graduating with a bachelor of science in history from the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD, he went on to serve as an engineering officer aboard the USS Jack Williams (FFG-24). He later served as the Navigator on the USS Peterson (DD-969). During his service in the Navy, Rep. Blunt received several commendations including three Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals and a Humanitarian Service Medal.

Rep. Blunt is the third generation to serve the state of Missouri as an elected official. His father, U.S. Rep. Roy Blunt, served two terms as Missouri's Secretary of State and his grandfather Leroy Blunt served in the Missouri House of Representatives.

He is a 1989 graduate of Jefferson City High School. Rep. Blunt is also a member of Bass Chapel Church, a Southern Baptist church in his district.

Born November 20, 1970, in Strafford, Rep. Blunt currently resides near Fair Grove with his wife, Melanie.
