REP. WAYNE CRUMP

90th General Assembly

Rep. Wayne Crump, a Democrat, represents Washington and Iron counties and parts of Reynolds and St. Francois counties (District 152) in the Missouri House of Representatives.

Rep. Crump currently serves as the Majority Floor Leader, a position he also held in 1994.

In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Crump, a former deputy sheriff in Washington County, is a cattle farmer.

Significant legislative accomplishments for Rep. Crump include: sponsoring the Conceal and Carry Bill, passed in the 1998 session; bills concerning conservation; correctional institutions and Sunday sales of liquor. Other bills sponsored include: liabilities of participants in certain equestrian activities, the crime of having sexual intercourse with a child under 10 years of age, and telecommunications service for the speech and hearing impaired.

Awards for Rep. Crump include: the Jefferson City News Tribune Statesman of the Month (April 1995 and 1998); Missouri Deputy Sheriffs’ Association State Representative of the Year (April 1995); Missouri Association of Counties Outstanding Legislator (1990, 1991 and 1995); Meramec Regional Planning Commission Outstanding Performer (1986); Board of Directors/Coalition for Alternatives to Imprisonment Outstanding Legislator (1986); and Citizens for a Clean County Outstanding Achievement Award.

Rep. Crump attended Mascoutah High School and Belleville Area College. He is a member of St. James Catholic Church.

Born June 26, 1950, in Belleville, Ill., Rep. Crump resides in Potosi with his wife Tiffany. He has two sons, David Wayne and Logan Davis.
