HB 502 -- CONVEYANCE IN ST. FRANCOIS COUNTY

SPONSOR:  Ward

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee
on Correctional and State Institutions by a vote of 13 to 0.

This bill authorizes the Governor to convey certain property of
the Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center to the American
Legion.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the bill transfers half of an
acre of ground from the Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center
to the American Legion for the purpose of building a veterans'
clinic.

Testifying for the bill was Representative Burcham.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
