HB 596 -- PLANNED INDUSTRIAL EXPANSION AUTHORITY CO-SPONSORS: Kennedy, Gambaro COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on Municipal Corporations by a vote of 11 to 0. This bill revises statutory language to clarify that the City of St. Louis may adopt a plan of consolidation which combines the Planned Industrial Expansion Authority with the Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority. FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds. PROPONENTS: Supporters say that the bill makes a technical correction to legislation which passed last year concerning redevelopment activities in St. Louis.
