HB 600 -- CONVEYANCE IN GREENE COUNTY

CO-SPONSORS:  Hosmer, Marsh

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee
on Correctional and State Institutions by a vote of 13 to 0.

This bill authorizes the Board of Governors of Southwest
Missouri State University to convey certain property located on
the campus of the university to the Southwest Missouri
Ecumenical Center in consideration for certain property owned by
the center.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the bill allows for an exchange
of equivalent property between Southwest Missouri State
University and the City of Springfield.

Testifying for the bill were Representative Hosmer; and
Southwest Missouri State University.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
