HB 951 -- CONVEYANCE IN COLE COUNTY

SPONSOR:  Gratz

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee
on Correctional and State Institutions by a vote of 13 to 0.

This bill authorizes the Governor to convey a parcel of state
property in Jefferson City to the Governor Hotel, LLC.

FISCAL NOTE:  Income to General Revenue Fund of $1,000 in FY
2002, and $0 in FY 2003 and FY 2004.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the air-conditioning unit for
the Hotel Governor is on state property.  The state is going to
sell 93 square feet to the hotel for $10 per square foot and the
state will pick up 2 parking spaces.

Testifying for the bill were Representative Gratz; and Office of
Administration.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
