HB 203 -- Private Investigators

This bill creates the Board of Private Investigator Examiners
within the Department of Public Safety.  It will be unlawful for
any person to act as a private investigator without first
obtaining a license from the department.

The bill contains provisions regarding the creation of the
board, exemptions from licensure, application for licensure,
fees, written and oral examinations, bonding requirements,
advertising, suspension and revocation of licenses, and keeping
of and confidentiality of records.

The bill contains penalty provisions.
