HB 243 -- Cosmetology Schools

Sponsor:  Treadway

This bill allows licensed cosmetology schools to base their
course of study on credit hours determined by the formula
established within the Code of Federal Regulations.

The bill also allows persons who have been a licensed
cosmetologist for at least 2 years to take the cosmetology
instructor's exam.

The bill further requires that at least 2 members of the State
Board of Cosmetology be owners of licensed cosmetology schools.
