HB 343 -- Closed Captioning of Local Television News Programming

This bill requires that, beginning January 1, 2002, all
television stations provide real-time captioning of all local
news, weather, and sports programming.  The use of electronic
newsroom technology will not satisfy the requirements of the
bill.
