HB 83 -- Demolition Costs in Enterprise Zones

Sponsor:  Rizzo

This bill allows an income tax credit for costs associated with
the demolition of commercial structures located in enterprise
zones or satellite zones.  The tax credit will be non-refundable
and equal to 15% of the cost of demolition or $50,000, whichever
is less.

Any excess or unused credit may be carried back 3 tax years or
forward 5 years.  The credit may also be assigned, transferred,
or sold through certification through the Department of Economic
Development.  The maximum amount of statewide credits authorized
cannot exceed $5 million.
