HB 952 -- Placement of Students by State Agencies

This bill changes the administration and payment procedures when
children are placed in residential treatment facilities and
receive education services from a district which is not their
district of residence.  The agency responsible for the placement
must provide the name of the district of the child's domicile
(the sending district) when a child is enrolled in the receiving
district.  Instead of the receiving district billing the sending
district, the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
will deduct the requisite amount from the sending district's
state aid and pay that amount to the receiving district.
