HB 70 -- MOTORCYCLE HELMETS (Koller) This bill requires only persons under 21 years of age to wear protective headgear when operating or riding as a passenger on any motorcycle or motortricycle. Currently, all motorcyclists are required to wear protective headgear. Any person who receives a head injury while operating a motorcycle or motortricycle upon any highway in the state and who was not wearing protective headgear during the time of the injury will not be eligible for state aid or assistance for medical treatment of these injuries.
