REP. MATT BARTLE
91st General Assembly
Rep. Matt Bartle, a Republican, represents part of Jackson County (District 56) in the Missouri House of Representatives.
Rep. Bartle practices law with Berkowitz, Feldmiller, Stanton, Brandt, Williams & Stueve L.L.P. in Kansas City. After graduating from law school, he served as a law clerk to the Hon. W. Eugene Davis of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Rep. Bartle is a member of the Lee's Summit Chamber of Commerce and a former member of the board of directors for Southwest Enterprises, a workshop for the disabled. He attends the First Baptist Church, Raytown, where he has served as the chairman of deacons and on the personnel committee.
In 1983, Rep. Bartle graduated from Hickman High School in Columbia. In 1987 he received a bachelor of arts degree in economics from the University of Missouri-Columbia and, in 1990, received a juris doctorate from Northwestern University, Chicago.
Rep. Bartle was a member of the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa, Mystical Seven and Mortar Board honoraries at Mizzou. He was also an editor on the Northwestern University Law Review.
Born in Columbia on February 20, 1965, Rep. Bartle resides in Lee's Summit with his wife, Annette. They have two children, Mack and Betsy.
