REP. CHARLES R. PORTWOOD
91st General Assembly
Rep. Charles R. Portwood, a Republican, represents part of St. Louis County (District 92) in the Missouri House of Representatives.
Elected to his first two-year term in 2000, Rep. Portwood is a chiropractic physician. Previously he taught clinical education at Logan Chiropractic College in Chesterfield from 1994-1996.
In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Portwood is a member of the Lafayette Church of Christ, the West County Chamber of Commerce and the Missouri State Chiropractors Association. He is also a member of the West County Republican Organization and vice president of the National Academy of MUA Physicians.
A 1981 graduate of Lindsay High School in Lindsay, Oklahoma, Rep. Portwood attended Oklahoma Christian College where he majored in biochemistry. He received a bachelor of science in human biology and a doctorate in chiropractic from Logan College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield in 1991.
Born April 3, 1963 in Denver, Co., Rep. Portwood lives in Ballwin with his wife Dawn. They have four children: Charles, Katherin, Laura and Harrison.
