HB 1803 -- CREDIT UNION COMMISSION SPONSOR: Green (73) COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on Critical Issues, Consumer Protection and Housing by a vote of 13 to 0. This bill changes the terms and requirements for members of the Credit Union Commission, requiring that four members of the commission be current credit union representatives and staggering term expiration dates for appointments after March 25, 2005. FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds. PROPONENTS: Supporters say that the bill will prevent the terms of all the members of the Credit Union Commission from expiring at the same time. Testifying for the bill were Representative Harlan; and Missouri Credit Union System. OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
