HB 1921 -- CREDIT UNION EXAMINATION SPONSOR: Green (73) COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on Critical Issues, Consumer Protection and Housing by a vote of 13 to 0. This bill allows the Division of Credit Unions, at the discretion of the director, to examine qualifying credit unions once every 18 calendar months instead of annually. FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds. PROPONENTS: Supporters say that the bill will give additional flexibility to the Director of the Division of Credit Unions by allowing the director to assess how often to examine certain credit unions. Testifying for the bill were Representative Harlan; and Missouri Credit Union System. OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
