HCS SB 1102 -- NUISANCE

SPONSOR:  Westfall (Hosmer)

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Criminal Law by a vote of 11 to 0.

This substitute allows county prosecutors with jurisdiction to
prosecute nuisance cases along with the Department of Health and
Senior Services under Section 191.683, RSMo.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the bill gives local prosecutors
jurisdiction to prosecute certain nuisance cases.

Testifying for the bill was Senator Westfall.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
