HB 1536 -- Child Luring Sponsor: Clayton This bill creates the crime of luring a child over the Internet. The crime is defined as knowingly using the Internet to seduce, solicit, lure, or entice a child or attempt to seduce, solicit, lure, or entice a child or a person whom the offender believes to be a child to meet for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity with the child or in the presence of the child. Luring a child over the Internet is a class A felony if the child is 14 years of age or younger. It is a class B felony if the child is 14 or older and the person committing the crime is over the age of 21. It is a class C felony if the child is 14 or older and the person committing the crime is between the ages of 19 and 21, and a class D felony if the child is 14 or older and the person committing the crime is under the age of 19.Copyright (c) Missouri House of Representatives
