HB 1641 -- Practice of Chiropractic

This bill defines "joint mobilization" and "spinal manipulation,"
describing certain treatments used in the practice of
chiropractic.  No health care provider licensed in this state may
perform spinal manipulation unless authorized by the bill.  Any
licensed health care provider who violates any provisions of the
bill is guilty of the unlawful practice of chiropractic and will
be subject to disciplinary action.

The bill in no way restricts medical or osteopathic physicians
and physical therapists acting within the scope of their
practice.
