HB 2006 -- Student Loans

This bill authorizes the boards for podiatry, dentistry, healing
arts, and nursing to discipline any license holder who is in
default for a state or federal student loan.  The boards are
further authorized not to issue licenses to applicants who are in
default for student loans.  The Division of Professional
Registration, in conjunction with the named boards, will provide
the federal Department of Education and the state Department of
Higher Education with a list of all licensees and applicants for
licensure to determine if they are in default.
