AN ACT

To amend chapter 160, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to the display of the motto of the United States of America in public schools.




Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

Section A. Chapter 160, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 160.015, to read as follows:

160.015. Every public school of every school district in this state may display the motto of the United States of America, "IN GOD WE TRUST", in each classroom, school auditorium, and school cafeteria. This display shall be done in an appropriate, respectful, and aesthetically attractive manner. Where possible, the motto shall be displayed on an appropriately framed background with minimum dimensions of eleven inches by fourteen inches.
