REP. JOHN QUINN

91st General Assembly

 

 

Rep. John Quinn, a Republican, represents Carroll and Livingston counties and part of Linn County (District 7) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected in August 2001 to fill an unexpired term.  In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Quinn has been a self-employed farmer of 30 years.

 

Rep. Quinn is a member of St. Columban’s Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.  He is also a member of the following organizations: past president, Farm Bureau; past chairman, Livingston County Soil and Water board; Young Farmers; board member, Golden Triangle Ethanol, Craig Mo.; board member, Missouri Corn Growers Association; board member, Show-Me Quality Grain; advisory committee of North Central Missouri College; Chillicothe Young Farmers; Chillicothe Chamber of Commerce; Ducks Unlimited; Freedom of the Road Riders; National Rifle Association; and Missouri Soybean Association.

 

Rep. Quinn is the recipient of the Agriculture Appreciation Award from the Chillicothe Chamber of Commerce; winner of the 1997 National Corn Growers Association contest and the1993 Livingston County Farm Family. He attended Northwest Missouri State University and the University of Missouri-Columbia.

 

Rep. Quinn currently resides in Chillicothe with his wife, Mary. They have four daughters: Karen Maggart, Rebecca, Marcy, and Molly. They also have one grandson, Quinton.
