Rep. Danie
Moore, a Republican, represents part of Callaway County (District 20) in the
Missouri House of Representatives.
Prior to
being elected to the House, Rep. Moore was a teacher. She taught French and English at Fulton
High School from 1970-1996 and was an elementary remedial reading teacher in
Glasgow, Mo., from 1968-1970.
A member of
St. Peters Catholic Church, Rep. Moore serves on the board of the Callaway
County Ecumenical Ministries. She
is also a member of the following organizations: NAACP; Holts Summit Rotary;
National Order of Women Legislators, treasurer; Missouri Federation of
Republican Women, board member; Callaway County Federated Republican Women;
Callaway County Pachyderm Club, board member; National Association of Sportsmen
Legislators; NRA; VFW Post 2657 Auxiliary; Callaway Farm Bureau; Kingdom of
Callaway Historical Society and Chamber of Commerce; Fulton Optimist board;
Kingdom of Callaway Retired Teachers, president; Delta Kappa Gamma Society
International; Missouri Literacy Associations, board of directors; Callaway
County Red Cross, executive advisory board; and the Missouri State Teachers
Association.
Rep. Moore
twice received the Excellence in Education award from the Fulton Public School
system and in 1998 was the recipient of the Missouri Federated Republican Women
Tribute Award.
A 1964
graduate of Elsberry High School, Rep. Moore received her bachelor of arts
degree in French and English from Central Methodist College in
1968.
Born June
24, 1946 in Paris, France, Rep. Moore lives in Fulton with her husband Lisle H.
Moore, Jr. They have two children:
Melinda Ann Henry and Lisle H. Moore III.
