Rep.
Anthony Walker, a Democrat, represents part of St. Louis City (District 58) in
the Missouri House of Representatives.
Rep.
Walker was elected in April 2002, to fill an unexpired term.
Prior
to his election, Rep. Walker was a court and traffic administrator in the City
of St. Louis. He also worked as a
liquor control agent in St. Louis and served as a sheriff’s deputy enforcing
and maintaining order in the 22nd Judicial Circuit Courts.
Rep.
Walker is a member of St. Alphonsus Rock Church in St. Louis and serves as a
mentor in the St. Louis public schools, and is chairman of the 5th Ward
Regulation Democratic Organization and the 5th Ward Committeeman
A
recipient of a certificate from the Regional Justice Information Systems, Rep.
Walker also received a certificate of graduation from the St. Louis
Metropolitan Police Academy for sheriff’s training; a certificate from the St.
Louis Metropolitan Police Academy for MAZMAT training and received proclamations
for frequent voting and neighborhood leadership.
Born
February 11,1965 in Queens, New York, Rep. Walker is a 1985 graduate of
Liverpool, New York High School. He
currently resides in St. Louis with his wife Shirley Mitchell-Walker and their
children Toni Walker and Rayven Walker.
