REP. JOHN BOWMAN

91st General Assembly

Rep. John Bowman, a Democrat, represents part of St. Louis County (District 70) in the Missouri House of Representatives.

In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Bowman has worked for 24 years as a U.A.W. member in the automation area for Daimler Chrysler as a troubleshooter.

A vocal supporter of women’s rights and a strong advocate for education, health and community revitalization; Rep. Bowman was appointed by Speaker Jim Kreider to serve on the Missouri Minority Business Advocacy Commission and the Economic Development, Transportation, and Cultural Affairs and Education committees for the Southern Legislative Conference.

Rep. Bowman was a two-term alderman for the city of Northwoods and attends Ascension St. Paul Church. He is also involved in the PAL Program as a mentor and coordinator.

He received a bachelor of science degree in business and an MBA from Fontbonne College.

Born July 1, 1956, Rep. Bowman resides in Northwoods with his wife, Elizabeth, and their children: Peyton, Sloane and John Jr.
