REP. JOAN ELIZABETH BRAY
91st General Assembly
Rep.
Joan Elizabeth Bray, a Democrat, represents the municipalities of Maplewood,
and parts of Richmond Heights, University City, Clayton, Brentwood and
Shrewsbury in St. Louis County (District 84) in the Missouri House of
Representatives.
Rep.
Bray is a member of the Citizens for Modern Transit board of directors; the
National Conference of State Legislatures' Energy and Transportation committee;
and the St. Louis Metropolitan Infrastructure and Transportation Study
Commission. She is also the co-convener of the St. Louis Area Legislators and
the Democratic Policy Group.

Governor's appointee to the Commission on Management &
Productivity--Efficient Operations Task Force, Rep. Bray is also a delegate from
the House to the seven-state High Speed Rail Compact Commission. She was a
Flemming Fellow (1994-95) and a member of the Leadership St. Louis class in
1986-87.
Born
September 16, 1945, in Lubbock, Texas, Rep. Bray received a bachelor of arts
degree in English from Southwestern University in 1967 and master of education
degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1971. She currently
resides in University City with her husband Carl Hoagland. They have two
children, Noel and Kolby.
