REP. FRANCIS S. OVERSCHMIDT

91st General Assembly

 

Rep. Overschmidt, a Democrat, represents parts of Franklin, Washington and Crawford counties (District 110) in the Missouri House of Representatives.                                   

 

In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Overschmidt is a farmer and a small businessman.  He also served in the Missouri National Guard from 1963-69.

 

In 1988, Rep. Overschmidt was elected Franklin County Commissioner and served until November 1991. During this tenure he was a member of the Franklin County Extension Center and the Emergency Numbering System.

 

Rep. Overschmidt is a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Union Rotary Club, St. Clair Elks Lodge, Eagles Club, St. Clair Knights of Columbus and American Legion. In 1987, he received the Missouri State Fair Farm Family award.

 

Rep. Overschmidt attended St. Clare Catholic Grade School and graduated from St. Francis Borgia High School.

 

Born February 1, 1943, Rep. Overschmidt lives in Union with his wife Dianne.  They have three children: Lisa, Kim and Charlie.
