91st General Assembly
Rep.
Ronnie Miller, a Republican, represents Cedar and Dade counties and part of
Lawrence and Greene counties (District 133) in the Missouri House of
Representatives.
He
is the second member of his family to enter the political arena. His mother, Nina Miller, was the first woman
elected to public office in Cedar County.
She was elected to the position of circuit clerk and recorder in 1962.
Previously,
he worked as a district manager, customer service manager and repairman for
Missouri Telephone Company. Rep. Miller
served with the United States Air Force for four years before being honorably
discharged.
Rep.
Miller is presently a member of the Black Walnut Festival Finance Committee,
Stockton Lions Club, Missouri Farm Bureau, Stockton Christian Church board and
the Show-Me Christian Youth Home board.
He also served on the R-I School Board for six years, two of those as
president; Cedar County Red Cross recruitment chairman and 16 years as the Sac
River Valley Youth Representative. Rep.
Miller has received the Star of Loyalty award from Paralyzed Veterans of
America, the G.E.E.I.A. Squadron Airman of the Month award, and the Missouri
State High School Activities Association eight-year award for umpiring baseball
and softball. He has received the Farm Bureau's friend of Agriculture award
both terms.
A
1964 graduate of Stockton R-I High School, Rep. Miller also attended the
University of Kansas.
Born
July 22, 1946, in Stockton, Rep. Miller currently resides there with his wife,
Mary Jane. They have two children:
Scott and wife Sunnie, and Stacie.
