REP. B.J. MARSH

91st General Assembly

 

Rep. B.J. Marsh, a Republican, represents part of Greene County (District 136) in the Missouri House of Representatives.

 

Rep. Marsh was originally elected to the House in 1988 and 1990, and was re-elected to his current term in November 2000.

 

In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Marsh is the owner of Marsh Travel Agency and Motorcoach Tours. Rep. Marsh is of the Protestant faith.

 

Rep. Marsh is a member of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce; St. Johns Hospital Advocate Board and Hospital Auxiliary, life member; and the American Bus Association.  He is a past member of the Southwest Missouri Officials Association and the Missouri State High School Activities Association.  He also officiated high school and college basketball for 15 years.

 

A 1958 graduate of Greenfield High School, Rep. Marsh attended Southwest Missouri State University and graduated in 1960 from Weaver Airline Personnel School.

 

Born February 21, 1940 in Pennsboro, Rep. Marsh lives in Springfield. He has three children: Marty, who is married to Trish; Monte, who is married to Kari, and Destiny. His wife, Shirley, is deceased.  He has one grandson, Mitchell J.
