Rep. Judy
Berkstresser, a Republican, represents Stone County and part of Taney and Barry
counties (District 141) in the Missouri House of Representatives.
In addition to
her legislative duties, Rep. Berkstresser is a licensed cosmetologist and
former small business owner, and stays active in the Faith In God Family
Church. Prior to becoming a legislator, Rep. Berkstresser organized and helped
run the family farm while raising her three children: Bridget, Benjamin, and
Elizabeth. She also has three grandchildren: Blake, Helen, and Wiley.
A 1969
graduate of Crane High School in Crane, Missouri, Rep. Berkstresser attained
the status of a non-traditional student when she attended College of the Ozarks
in 1989.
Born June 16,
1951 in Aurora, Mo., Rep. Berkstresser currently resides in Crane with her
husband Allen, who is the Stone County assessor.
