Assembly
Rep. Ken
Legan, a Republican, represents parts of Dallas and Polk counties (District
145) in the Missouri House of Representatives.
He served as
House Minority Whip during the 83rd, 84th and 85th General Assemblies.
n addition to
his legislative duties, Rep. Legan currently is a farmer and small business
owner. He served in the U.S. Army from 1969-1971. He is deacon at the Halfway
Baptist Church and a member of the Halfway Lions Club, Bolivar Lodge #195 AF
and AM, Scottish Rite, Abou Ben Adhem Temple of the Shrine, Missouri Farm
Bureau and Missouri Cattlemen's Association.
A 1964
graduate of Halfway R-III High School, Rep. Legan received a bachelor of
science degree in agriculture from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1969.
Born August 3,
1946, in Halfway, Rep. Legan resides there with his wife Becky. They have two
children, Brock and Stephanie.
Rep. Legan's
father, the late A.J. Legan, served in the House from 1955-1958.
