HB 249, HCA 1 -- HIGHWAY DESIGNATION

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Transportation and Motor Vehicles by a vote of 20 to 0.

This bill designates a portion of State Route WW from the corner
or Morrow and Odell streets within the City of Marshall going
east to the end of the route as "Butterfield Road."  Signs will
be paid for, erected, and maintained by Butterfield Youth
Services.

HCA 1 -- Designates the road as "Butterfield Ranch Road" instead
of "Butterfield Road."

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say the bill will give proper recognition
to the Butterfield organization which has done great work with
troubled youth.

Testifying for the bill was Representative Seigfreid; and
Butterfield Youth Services.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
